Call us today to see where your gifts intersect with the needs of your community. Food pantries, community and school gardens, helping seniors, helping kids, fixing things, researching–all you have to be is willing!

If you have an idea of where you would like to share your gifts of volunteering, please contact us at

Volunteering is fun! AND Volunteering is healthy–turns out that helping others is a most powerful “drug” that simply makes you feel better. Warning: the side effects are AWESOME for everyone involved.

Healthy Communities Coalition is proud to be the home for AmeriCorps members that give a year (or one summer) of volunteer service.

From all parts of Lyon County, AmeriCorps are busy providing food for those in need, working with children in school gardens, teaching about good nutrition, providing services as Community Health Workers, providing information and resources to prevent and address opioid and other drug use, and so much more!

AmeriCorps members receive extensive training during their term with Healthy Communities Coalition, including CPR and mental health “first aid.” They also earn their National Nutrition Certification, developed through Utah University. In addition, during their term they become certified as Community Health Workers.

Would you like to be a part of our team?  Find out how YOU can make a difference!
